So I’m loving Keri Hilson right now. Everything she comes out with is hot. I can’t believe it has taken so long for her debut album In A Perfect World… to be released, which by the wa just came out last Tuesday so you should definitely go get a copy. The song I have today isn’t off of her newest so it’s unlikely you’re going to find anywhere, but online for the time being. The song’s called “Hey Girl” it pretty much sounds like the sister version of Jamie Fox’s current hit “Blame It,” so you know it will do well on the radio if it makes its way there. Its definitely a party anthem for all the ladies out there who just want to go out and have a good time. Check it out below, and also go watch the video for Keri’s latest single featuring Neyo and Kanye West called “Knock You Down.”

N.A.S.A. – Gifted

N.A.S.A.

Super producers N.A.S.A. just released a video for their song “Gifted” off of their debut album titled The Spirit of Apollo. If you don’t know who N.A.S.A. is then you’ve been hiding under a rock, but let me give you a little background information. N.A.S.A. is comprised of two producers known as Squeak E. Clean and Dj Zegon. Now N.A.S.A. isn’t titled after the space program, and actually stand for North America/South America. The goal of these producers is to bring people together through music and art, which they do by having artists from all different genres collaborate on their tracks. So what do you get when put an indie pop singer, a rapper, and a new wave singer on one song? “Gifted.” This song is amazing and it features Kanye West, Santigold, and Lykke Li doing what they do best together. If the song isn’t great enough, so is the newly released video. Though you don’t actually get to see all three artists together on screen, the creativity and animation that was put into the video is fantastic. I’m not going to give much away because I want you to see it for yourself. Check it out below.

This post is one I hesitated to do, but I decided to go ahead and do it anyway. I haven’t been a huge fan of Bow Wow’s as of lately, but if you would have asked me if I liked him years ago when he was still going by “Lil’ Bow Wow” my answer would have been completely different. Anyway, Bow Wow is about to be releasing his album New Jack City: Part II on March 31st, and just released his next single “You Can Get It All” from it. I have to admit that this is a pretty decent track from Bow Wow, and I can see it doing well on the radio. It’s grown on me after a few listens, and I love the fact that he sampled the beat from TLC’s “Baby, Baby, Baby.” That alone is enough to make me want to give it a few listens. I definitely think this song is going to be the “Shortie Like Mine” of this album. Give it a listen and see what you think.

It’s been a pretty slow week in music. Not many amazing tracks have been leaked recently, but I did find an awesome new video by singer Bat For Lashes that you have to check out. I’ve heard the name before but up until now I never really gave her music a chance, and I realized I was missing out. Indie singer Bat For Lashes just released her video for the song “Daniel,” which is her first single off of her upcoming album Two Suns (April 6th). The video is very creative complete with dancers dressed in full leotard outfits that cover their faces. It’s a veyr dark video, which goes perfectly with the gloomy pop sound of the song “Daniel.” The video is supposed to be a tribute to the movie Karate Kid. Does it work?

BOOM BOOM POW!

Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas are back once again. The Pea’s have recently released their first single “Boom Boom Pow” off of their upcoming 5th studio album “The E.N.D.” (The Energy Never Dies), which is slated for a June 9th release. If some of your favorite B.E.P. songs are “Let’s Get Retarded,” “My Humps,” or “Pump It” then you will most likely love “Boom Boom Pow.” It’s everything you’d expect from the Pea’s with its high energy, heavy bass, simple but catchy lyrics, and even some synths thrown in. Whether you like it or not this song is bound to be a hit, and is already climbing up the radio charts.

Pumpkin Bread!

I tried to capture the art of baking pumpkin bread just using photos. I didn’t find it too hard, because the pictures I took of the process are pretty self explanatory. I just had trouble trying to get photos of people eating the bread after it was cooked, because they all ran away to quickly. The best part about taking pictures of my sister baking was definitely eating the bread afterwards!
