Lady Gaga

Here is the latest video from Lady Gaga called “Paparazzi,” that was just released in the UK for the single. It’s kind of like a mini movie with a running time just below eight minutes. It’s worth watching but I don’t want to give anything away, so that’s all I’m going to say. Check it out below.

Here is the newly released video for Kanye West’s song “Paranoid.” The video stars Rihanna going in and out of these paranoia type dreams/hallucinations. It’s kind of interesting, but I think I may have preferred the original unfinished one that leaked a few weeks ago. It’s still a decent video though, but I’ll post the original if it shows up in better quality to compare the two. Check out the finished one below!

Telephoned is an up and coming duo from Brooklyn made up of DJ Sammy Bananas, and singer Maggie Horn. This first hit the scenewith their reworking of T-Pain’s hit “Can’t Believe It.” After getting such a positive buzz from the song they decided to continue on, and  rework Ron Browz’ “Pop Champagne” as well as Soulja Boy’s “Turn My Swag On.” Now if you’ve heard Soulja Boy’s “Turn My Swag On” before, then I guarantee you this is 1oo times better than the original. Everything that was lacking from the original was made up for in this reworking. I’d take this version over Soulja Boy’s any day.

Black Eyed Peas

I’ve been gone for a little but I’m back again! I’ve got a new song from the Black Eyed Peas for you called “Imma Be.” This is a song off their upcoming album The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies), which is set to be released on June 9th. This song is the perferct follow-up to “Boom Boom Pow”, and I can see it definitely climbing up the charts quickly when it hits the radio. Just like “Boom Boom Pow” the song has that nice danceable bounce beat with a bit of synths in the background. The only thing I can see people hating about this track is the repetitive “Imma Be” shouting in the background, but other than that the song is hot. Check it out below.

I guess this song is a demo Rihanna and Gaga did not too long ago. It leaked about a month ago, but I haven’t seen it on too many blogs until now. It’s funny to think this is a Rihanna track, because it’s  definitely the typical Lady Gaga synth dance sound everyone’s used to hearing. It’s not bad but I’d like to see another Rihanna/Lady Gaga collaboration in the future.  Check it out.

Update*

Come to find out this is not Lady Gaga and Rihanna, but instead a demo for a possible collaboration.

I’d never heard of Nyle before this, but I give him a lot of respect for making a video like this. After doing a little research I found out that he is rapper hailing from Philadelphia, but residing in New York. He’s released an album in 2007 called Frosh, where he described his Freshman year of college at New York University. he also released an EP titled S’more before leaving the hip hop game for awhile. He is now back and just released a video for the song “Let The Beat Build.” What makes this video so unique is the fact that it was recorded in only one take, and just like the title says, the beat literally builds as the song progresses. It’s a nice creative approach. Check it out below.

All I can say is that it’s about time! I know a lot of No Doubt fans like myself have been waiting for them to get off  of hiatus, and it finally came to an end last week. The band officially played for a live audience for the first time in over five years last week on the Today show’s Toyota concert series. The band opened up with “Spiderwebs” and the crowd went crazy. The band played with great energy, and Gwen showed everyone the inner rocker she’s been hiding over the past few years. I think No Doubt is definitely one of those bands that’s always going to sound amazing, and continue to show the same energy they did when they first started. I enjoyed Gwen’s solo projects, but nothing compares to the creativity that comes from when Gwen and the boys are together. Below is No Doubt’s performance of “Don’t Speak” on the Today show.
